Mumbai, 20th September, 2014: Relativity Media ("Relativity"), a next-generation media company, and B4U, a leading Bollywood film and television network, have formed a new joint venture to announce their first Hollywood film, The Best of Me. The venture will leverage their combined expertise, relationships and resources to create and distribute highly-engaging long and short form entertainment and sports content in India that will span a variety of mediums including film, television and digital. The companies together, plan to create and distribute innovative entertainment and sports content in India across Film, Television and Digital Platforms which will strengthen ties between Hollywood and Bollywood.
Relativity-B4U’s first Hollywood distribution film “The Best of Me”, is slated to hit the theaters on 31st October, 2014. The film is an adaptation from the published works of Nicholas Sparks who is a well known novelist (having writing bestsellers like ‘The Notebook’ and “Safe Haven”), screenwriter and producer and The Best of Me is one of his best-selling novels till date. The film has been directed by Michael Hoffman who has directed some great movies like “One Fine Day” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The romantic drama will see the ardent duo lighting up the screen. The star cast features actor James Marsden of Cyclops - X-Men Series, Superman Returns, 27 Dresses fame and Michelle Monaghan of Made of Honor, Mission Impossible III, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol fame.
