Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a visit to Mumbai and on Thursday, he met film personalities to discuss various opportunities that they can get while shooting for their films in Uttar Pradesh's upcoming Film City. It was during this meeting that actor Suniel Shetty interacted with Yogi Adityanath, and he brought up the #BoycottBollywood hashtag.
It is important to mention that for a long time now, #BoycottBollywood is rampant on social media and before release of several films, this trend makes its presence felt especially on Twitter. 'Pathaan' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone is also facing such calls on social media.
“Today if we are facing a problem then it is not about cost or subsidy, but it is to do with the audience. We have to bring the audience back to theatres. It is very important," Shetty said while speaking to Yogi Adityanath, as reported by the Indian Express.
