On Saturday 4th Feb, in Chhattisgarh, Chitrashi Rawat, who played hockey player Komal Chautala in the Shah Rukh Khan film Chak De! India, was married to her longtime partner Dhruvaditya Bhagwanani. Numerous television actors attended Chitrashi's big day, which also served as Chak De's reunion. Shilpa Shukla, Vidya Malavade, Tanya Abrol, Shubhi Mehta, and Seema Azmi were among the Indian actors spotted having a great time at Chitrashi's wedding. In photographs that have since gone viral on social media, Delnaaz Irani, Moonmoon Banerjee, Sayantani Ghosh, and Shruti Ulfat were also present at Chitrashi and Dhruvaditya's wedding.
Images from her pre-wedding celebrations, which included mehandi, haldi, and a cocktail party, were posted on Instagram. Delnaaz Irani released a video of her and Chitrashi having a blast dancing before their wedding. For the occasion, Chitrashi wore an orange blouse with a yellow and orange striped silk saree. She wore an orange and white printed outfit for the haldi ceremony, and images from the event show Chitrashi completely covered in flowers and haldi. Meanwhile, Vidya Malavade posted some wonderful images from Chitrashi and Dhruvaditya's wedding ceremony to her Instagram account. The bride is pictured wearing a crimson dupatta and an ochre yellow lehenga with golden embroidery. She is seen posing with Vidya, Shubhi, Seema Azmi, Shilpa Shukla and others on the stage.
In a media chat with a daily, Chitrashi disclosed that Dhruvaditya is from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and that they will be tying the knot in Bilaspur. “It will be an afternoon wedding. There will be a haldi, mehndi, and cocktail ceremony a day prior when we will also exchange rings,” she revealed. The two got wedded after being in a relationship for almost 11 years.
Chitrashi revealed that she and Dhruv had originally wanted a court marriage in Dehradun. “We had thought ki simple shaadi karenge, paise bachaayenge aur travel karenge (We had thought to do a simple wedding, save money and travel). However, our families got involved, and it was all about yeh sab ek hi baar hoti hai (it only happens once). So, here we are now! Dhruv and I are not looking at it as a wedding affair, but a celebration of our relationship with our families and closest friends,” she told.
Chitrashi is well recognised for her performances in movies like Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Chak De India, and Fashion. Dhruvaditya has appeared in movies including Flight, The Grey, and the online series Damaged as an actor. He and Chitrashi worked together in Prem Mayee.
