With Khichdi 2, actor Kirti Kulhari, who made her Bollywood breakthrough in 2010's comedy Khichdi: The Movie, is ready to take viewers on yet another hilarious rollercoaster. The Kirti-played character "Parminder" became well-known because to the great success of the Aatish Kapadia-directed movie. Popular actors Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, Jamnadas Majethia, Nimisha Vakharia, and Anang Desai also starred in the movie. I'm overjoyed to be back in Khichdi 2 as Parminder because here is where it all began for me. Throughout the years, I've come to realise how popular Khichdi is, especially with children and families. The film is frequently cited as one of the funniest films; it is based on the well-known sitcom Khichdi, Instant Khichdi, and Khichdi Returns, which aired for three seasons.
Since making her acting debut with Khichdi, Kirti has not been frequently spotted exploring comedy. She appeared in such films and television programmes as Human, Pink, Shaitan, Uri: The Surgical Strike, and Four More Shots Please! She shared, “I am often asked why I don't do comedies anymore so it's lovely to return to the genre with this sequel. This Khichdi will be tastier, spicier, and funnier than before.”
